Here's your Video for April 8, 2024

I recently had the opportunity to sit and talk with this Safety Director who created this video when Danielle and I were in Maryland.

While some info might seem basic to you the bottom line is that we are all guilty of slacking off a bit on our professionalism.

So, please ....watch the video....and get a little refresher....We are all in this together!

Thank you

Eric

Vehicles are still not being fueled up properly upon the completion of your job assignment. It is now a written M&V Policy that states....ALL DRIVERS ARE REQUIRED TO INSURE THAT THE VEHICLE THEY ARE USING HAS SUFFICIENT FUEL PRIOR TO RETURNING THE VEHICLE TO THE YARD. I have instructed our cleaning crew to advise me of any vehicle returned with insufficient fuel. If the gas station is open you are required to refuel your vehicle.....NO EXCUSES!

I am still seeing Drivers covering cameras. Bottom line....STOP IT!

It's not to spy on you. It's to deal with issues that might occur. We recently had numerous calls about buses damaging parked vehicles. The camera(s) were covered and now the driver is liable for that accident.

WHIP AROUND is required. Do your Pre-Trip and Post Trip. Without this you could be held responsible for damage that occurred that was not your fault.  Also fill out the vehicles Inspection Log Book each and every trip.

If you are driving a Local Assignment and are not required to log on to your ELD you still must keep track of your times, mileage, etc. This is a DOT Compliance requirement. Pick up a Time Record Sheet from Safety.

RANDOM DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING: If you are chosen for a random test you must complete the test promptly at Land Sea and Air.  You are not being singled out. This is a requirement and we must comply with DOT Rules and regulations.

We are in the process of scheduling a Safety Meeting for April. You will be advised of the new Date and Time.

Thank you for you cooperation!
